Angela Pipersburgh, President of Kingdom Chamber of Commerce and founder of Called to Greatness Women's Summit and her team have returned to the island of Grand Bahama, a place which she considers her second home, to host her dynamic International Women's Summit, under the theme, 'Power and Purpose in a Name, Part II.' The four-day event, beginning today at 7:00 p,m. and concluding on Sunday at the Grand Lucayan Resort, is expected to give both men, women and residents - young and old - the opportunity to discover what is destined for them and ultimately, what God has desired for them by tapping into their individual power and purpose of their names.

The Called to Greatness International Women's Summit, held a the Grand Lucayan Resort, was officially opened Thursday (July 21) under the theme, 'Power and Purpose in a name Part II.' In full support of the event, for the third consecutive year, was the Religious Tourism sector of the Grand Bahama Ministry of Tourism. Speaking on behalf of the Tourism Ministry was Debbie Huyler, Religious Tourism Manager, Ministry of Tourism, Grand Bahama who expressed, "What a tremendous honor and pleasure it is for me to welcome you here to Grand Bahama Island, on behalf of The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.

MOUNT LAUREL - Angela Pipersburgh quoted so many Bible passages that her business speech Thursday at Burlington County College seemed more like a church sermon.

That was the point. She is founder and president of the Kingdom Chamber of Commerce with four chapters in New Jersey and another in Philadelphia.

The faith-based organization was created in 2004 in Cherry Hill to connect entrepreneurs who believe their faith, and relationship with God, can influence business. Pipersburgh, a motivational speaker, addressed about 200 business owners Thursday, most from the region, with some from Washington, New York, and the Bahamas.

"When the power comes, it will produce," Pipersburgh said with great energy while on the stage at the Enterprise Center in Mount Laurel. She quoted Deuteronomy 8:18.

"Remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today."

The CCC provides an environment where business and faith meet and relationships are formed. Most groups are categorized as 501(c)(6), the type of nonprofit organization that is not tax-exempt and is not allowed to take donations. To join, most potential members go through a review and approval process and sometimes are asked to sign a statement of faith to promote Christian values and ethics in the marketplace.

A Christian Chamber of Commerce operates similarly to the Chamber of Commerce but with many differences. Both groups host networking events, conferences, luncheons, training, workshops and plenty of opportunities to promote their members and businesses.

We came here a couple of years ago with the Ministry of Tourism on a familiarization (family) trip. It was during the time of the recession. Things did not look anything like this but, in my heart, I remember saying to my husband that I was sensing that God was saying that this would be the new city. There is just something special about Freeport; something great and amazing that God is going to do. I encourage the residents of Freeport to recognize what they have, and the blessings in which they have.
